Rochester, MN — Rochester Public Schools (RPS) is excited to announce the launch of a  District and Student Data Dashboard. RPS uses data to improve our ability to increase students' capacity to learn. RPS collects a variety of data about students through surveys, assessments, in class, and after they graduate. This data dashboard serves as a point of connection to the data RPS uses to make decisions every day.

“This version of the RPS Data Dashboard is a good step forward for our schools and our community. We look forward to creating even more useful tools to inform data-driven decisions and community engagement in the years ahead,” said Superintendent Kent Pekel.

The creation of a centralized data dashboard on the RPS website is one of our key initiatives to increase transparency and provide our community with information on student outcomes. Based on analytics and community feedback, RPS plans to review and improve our data center annually.

“Data democratization may be a buzzword, but at its core are the concepts of transparency and accessibility. This effort marks another step towards equipping our stakeholders to be informed participants in their school communities. Our use of data for decisions has grown tremendously, and the public now has some of that at their fingertips," said Peter Wruck, Director of Research & Improvement.

We invite the Rochester community to explore our data and become active participants in better understanding Rochester Public Schools' goals and achievements.
