Peace Poster

For over three decades, Lions clubs around the globe have been sponsoring a very special art contest in schools and youth groups. Creating peace posters gives children everywhere the chance to express their visions of peace and inspire the world through art and creativity.

To a young person, a dream isn’t just a wish, hope or desire — it’s a path, a goal, an ambition. But achieving that dream takes hard work. So, this year, we’ve asked young people to show how they could turn their dream of a peaceful world into reality.

Students ages 11, 12 or 13 as of November 15, 2023 are eligible to participate in the International Peace Poster Contest.

The peace poster winners throughout Lions District 5M1 enjoyed a very special afternoon on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at Stewartville Civic Center.

Alana Trias from John Adams Middle School was the 1st place winner in District 5M1. Lions 5M1 is located in the Southeastern corner of Minnesota; it is made up of 8 counties; Goodhue, Wabasha, Dodge, Olmsted, Winona, Mower, Fillmore and Houston.
